About the Doctors

James V. Cornetta, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Cornetta earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Richmond in 1977. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1979 at Southern College of Optometry, where he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1981. To stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of optometry, Dr. Cornetta maintains active memberships in numerous, prestigious, professional organizations such as the American Academy of Optometry (Fellow), American College of Optometric Physicians (Fellow), the Virginia Academy of Optometry (Fellow), the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the Tidewater Optometric Society. Dr. Cornetta is board-certified by the Virginia Board of Optometry and is active in the optometry community. He is published and spends his time teaching and lecturing others in his field. He holds faculty appointments at Southern College of Optometry, the Universite de Montreal, School of Optometry and the Pacific University College of Optometry.

William F. Damron, O.D.

Dr. Damron earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University and went on to complete his Doctorate of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is board-certified by the Virginia Board of Optometry.
